on a white page
like a leaf of the tree
erased from the earth
when the paper was made
living woods laid waste for newsprint's
instant litter of daily lies
dead leaves unread in dusty tracts
pulpy paperbacks & packaging
triplicated bureaucratic bumf
sheets left blank
in the name of art
meant to express
complete
& utter
emptiness
no less
tomorrow
the world too
empty
only
blotted
ink black
